Everything you need to know about the Premium Telephone Service
A premium telephone account allows you to have a standard area code telephone number; it also allows you to make calls to 0800 numbers without the 50p set up charge.
If you choose to pay monthly you will need to set up an account at www.ringring.me.uk. Once this account is set up you need to keep enough credit in the account to enable Masterpoint to debit your account each month, this will be taken out on the same date each month and will normally be the first working day of each month.
In the event that there is insufficient credit in your account we will debit your registered credit card.
Alternatively you can make a one off payment by cash, cheque or credit card to cover the full academic year.
No, there is not a set up charge for this service.
You can pay a one off payment of £40 for the full academic year including connection or you can choose to pay £5 per month.
To subscribe to the premium telephone service you will need to fill out and sign a registration form and return it to Masterpoint Engineering, 15 Tresham Street, Kettering, Northants, NN16 8RS. Once your registration form has been received and your payment has been authorised you will receive an e-mail as confirmation that your premium telephone service has been activated.
You will need to supply the following details on the registration form.
- Full name
- Contact e-mail address
- Telephone No
- Ringring account number (if paying monthly)
Once Masterpoint have all of your details needed the service will be activated within 5 working days.
To make outgoing calls you need to dial 121 and enter the PIN given to you when you opened your ringring account.
Once your account has been activated you will be e-mailed with your new telephone number.
As soon as you have your new telephone number you will be able to make 0800 calls free of charge from your account.
Yes, the service is available all year round.
No, we are unable to freeze/suspend the service during holiday periods.
No, if you have to move to a different room during the holiday period you will not be charged for the transfer, just send an e-mail to support@masterpoint.co.uk notifying us of your ringring account number, your new address, your new extension number and your moving date.
It is your responsibility to inform Masterpoint if you leave the Halls of Residence, payments will continue until you cancel the service.
You must be subscribed to the service for a minimum period of 3 months, after that time you can cancel the service by e-mailing support@masterpoint.co.uk.
You will need to give us 5 days notice to de-activate the service; your final payment will be taken on your normal debit date of that month. If you cancel the service we are unable to reinstate the service for a period of 3 months.
